Art come from art, and a lot of my inspiration starts with another work of art, be it a painting, a book, a song or a movie. These paintings grow and expand to represent layered concepts beyond the original intent of the source.

Environment shapes one’s consciousness, and place becomes a sounding board for conceptual expansion. These paintings use geometric abstraction to create a broader picture beyond a traditional landscape.
Mariposa
I was artist-in-residence at Mariposa EcoVillage, outside Amarillo, TX for four years. These paintings are a synthesis of an artwork and a place and are inspired by my time there.
